Ray and I were in Detroit over Labor Day weekend for the Detroit Jazz Festival. We had some time so we stopped in at the DIA. We only had time to see this one small exhibit of puppets made by artists employed by the Works Progress Administration in the 1940's. The puppets below are marionettes; it seems like each of them could be used in a 2025 production--sigh!
